Basuki Appreciated ZIS Funds Absorption

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama once again held another safari Ramadan. This time, he visited the office of Kebayoran Baru Sub-District, South Jakarta.

Basuki, who arrived around 4.45 PM, immediately welcomed by the Mayor of South Jakarta, Noor Shamsuddin and Head of Kebayoran Baru Sub-District, Edi Suherman. On that occasion, this former regent of East Belitung also symbolically gave aids in the form of money amounting to Rp 15 million and Al-Quran to the orphans.

In his speech, he appreciates the funds absorption of Zakat, Infaq and Alms (ZIS) by Jakarta BAZIS. In this case, he said, it was very helpful, particularly for lower-income people.

"ZIS's funds absorption is very important. We also try to help education sector preventing diploma detention," expressed Basuki at the office of Kabayoran Baru Sub-District, Tuesday (7/15).

In that occasion, he also reminds the South administration apparatus regarding the importance of the street vendors arrangement. Moreover, vendors keeps rampant in the capital, thus guidance needed.

"Start thinking to arrange and guide street vendors, just do not make it permanently. They can trade on street, sidewalk, as long as they do not use all sidewalks and must be arranged well," he exclaimed.
